Busalacchi Starts Communications Firm

Steve Busalacchi, director of public relations for the Wisconsin Medical Society for the past nine years, left the Madison-based association as a full-time employee on Nov. 1 to start his own health care communications firm.

Prior to joining the Medical Society, Busalacchi, 45, was a familiar name to regular listeners of Wisconsin Public Radio, where he was medical reporter for 15 years. Busalacchi will remain a voice for the state's physicians; the Medical Society has a contract with him for communications services. His firm, Steve Busalacchi Communications L.L.C., Madison, will provide communications and media strategy for health care clients.

"I have so many contacts within the health industry, it makes sense for me to continue in health care," he said.
