Steve Busalacchi is an award winning journalist and author with 25 years of health care media and public relations experience. He was director of public relations for the Wisconsin Medical Society from 1997-2006, and currently is the principal of his own health communications consulting firm.
In 2006, he was elected to the Board of Directors for the Public Relations Society of America-Madison chapter. He is also an Honorary Fellow at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Steve’s book, White Coat Wisdom, chronicles the memoirs of extraordinary physicians he has come to know in his medical journalism career.
Previously, he was medical reporter for Wisconsin Public Radio for 15 years and was a frequent contributor to National Public Radio for more than a decade.
Steve has received more than 25 journalism awards from organizations which include the Associated Press, American University, Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, the Wisconsin Medical Society and the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association.
Steve received his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
